Job Overview
Our team is looking for a Customer Service Representative to help serve a well-loved retail and hot food counter. This position requires individuals who are able to work with a diverse community of customers with respect and compassion. Successful candidates will have an enthusiastic outlook and willingness to learn about Hong Kong and Taiwanese cuisine and Cantonese language and culture.

Base pay is $18.25/hr, with an average of $3.00/hr in tips for a total of $21.25/hr on average.

Duties

• Process customer payments on POS

• Perform store opening/closing procedures

• Retrieve hot food from dim sum steamer

• Participate in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages as needed.

• Handle cash and card transactions

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the store

• Respond to customer questions regarding products

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or retail is an asset

• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.

• Punctuality

• Ability to read Chinese is an asset

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.

• Spoken English is required, Cantonese is a strong asset. Mandarin is an asset

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
